Holly started
dancing at the age of 3 at the “Jenny Brennan School of Dance” following the
RAD Ballet syllabus and the ISTD Tap and Modern syllabus. Holly gained
distinctions at all levels of RAD and achieved the ARAD (Associate of The
Royal Academy of Dance) in 2006. Holly danced as a Junior and Senior
Associate of the Royal Ballet School. She performed with the National Youth
Ballet and English Youth Ballet over several years. She entered many
festivals and competitions e.g. the ISTD Janet Cram Awards where she won the
Outstanding Dance Prize in 2000.
Holly then went on to train at Elmhurst School for Dance in association with
Birmingham Royal Ballet and Laine Theatre Arts, and graduated with a Trinity
National Diploma in Professional Dance.
Since leaving Laine Theatre Arts she has performed in several shows and
pantomimes. In 2009 she featured as a dancer in the film version of the
Broadway musical NINE alongside stars Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench and Daniel
Day Lewis.
Holly started teaching for Dancestars in 2009, and has run classes at
Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club, Dickybirds Nursery in Wimbledon, Nuffield
Health and The Mouse House Nursery School in Wandsworth.
Holly’s role as Dance Development Officer has seen her running audition
workshops for Dancestars students. Holly loves teaching for Dancestars and
is looking forward to continuing her studies with the RAD RTS course in
January 2012. |
